Inspect and clean chimney flues regularly, especially when
burning oil, coal or wood.
Have your furnace checked and cleaned annually.
If you burn oil, have your tank checked by your fuel supplier. Any tank over 25 years old should be replaced.
Smoke detectors save lives; but a smoke alarm with a dead or missing battery is worse than none at all-it builds a false sense of security.
Never leave burning candles unattended.
